Commends and congratulates the West Point High School "Green Wave" football team and Head Coach Chris Chambless for winning their second consecutive Class 5A State Championship in 2017.

Team finished the season with 28 consecutive wins, with the closest game being a 19-point margin, and defeated notable opponents including 6A Finalist Starkville and 4A State Champion Noxubee County.

Quarterback Marcus Murphy, a 4-star Mississippi State commit, rushed for 226 yards and four touchdowns in the championship game and finished his career with 5,227 rushing yards and 92 total touchdowns.

Lists the complete roster of 91 players and coaching staff (Head Coach Chris Chambless and Assistant Coaches Ricky Melton and Seth Stillman) to be recognized for bringing honor to West Point High School, Clay County, and Mississippi.
