Commends Ole Miss sophomore Braden Thornberry for winning the university's first-ever 2017 Men's NCAA Individual Golf National Championship on May 29, 2017, at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois with a score of 277 (11-under par).

Recognizes Thornberry for representing the United States in the 2017 Walker Cup Matches at Los Angeles Country Club on September 9-10, 2017, helping Team USA defeat Team Great Britain and Ireland 19-7.

Highlights Thornberry's achievements including winning the Haskins Trophy as a sophomore, winning five collegiate tournaments, defeating the No. 1 ranked amateur golfer Joaquinn Niemann of Chile, and finishing tied for fourth in the PGA Tour's FedEx St. Jude Classic.
