Recognizes the Tri-County Workforce Alliance (TCWA) in Clarksdale, Mississippi for its youth development programs serving five counties: Bolivar, Coahoma, Quitman, Sunflower, and Tallahatchie.

TCWA operates a Middle School Academy (sixth through eighth grade) and High School Mentorship Program (ninth through twelfth grade) focused on health-related career pathways and workforce development, currently serving 160 students during the 2017-2018 academic year.

High school participants engage in job shadowing with health care professionals for up to 60 hours and can earn certifications as nursing assistants, phlebotomists, or EKG technicians at no cost through partnerships with community colleges.

Ninety-one percent of former TCWA participants reported being more likely to achieve their educational and career goals because of the programs.

Extends congratulations and encouragement to the TCWA Board of Directors and Executive Director for their continued success in youth education and workforce development.
