Extends legislative condolences to the family of Gene A. Wilkinson, a senior Mississippi attorney who passed away on February 13, 2018, at age 86.

Recognizes Wilkinson's 60-year legal career as Chief Executive Officer of Stennett, Wilkinson & Peden law firm, specializing in corporate, administrative, and insurance regulatory law.

Honors his extensive civic and governmental service, including roles as Public Relations Director of The Mississippi Bar, State Manager for Senator Jim Eastland's 1966 reelection campaign, and Chairman of the Jackson Civil Service Commission for 25 years (1962-1987).

Notes his leadership positions with the Jackson Council on Alcoholism, Governor's Prayer Breakfast (12 years), Mississippi Employment Security Commission (1974-1978, 1986-1990), and various charitable organizations.

Directs the resolution be presented to Wilkinson's surviving family, forwarded to The Mississippi Bar, and released to the Capitol Press Corps.
