Commends and congratulates the Coahoma High School "Red Panthers" Boys Basketball Team and Coach Derrick Moore for winning their second consecutive Class 2A State Championship on March 10, 2018.

Red Panthers defeated Bay Springs 62-46 at the Mississippi Coliseum with a 29-4 record, building a 31-13 halftime lead and never trailing throughout the game.

Key players included Jai'sheldon Yates (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Bentavious Galmore (10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals) in the championship game.

Resolution recognizes the 16-member roster of student athletes for bringing honor to Coahoma High School, their community, and Mississippi.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Coach Derrick Moore and Principal Lynn Lang, forwarded to the Coahoma County Board of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
