Commends Milford Currie for 40 years of dedicated service to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History and the Governor's Office upon his retirement.

Currie served in the Governor's Office of General Services from 1977 to 1987, then joined MDAH in 1987 to work in the exhibits section of the State Historical Museum at the Old Capitol Restoration.

Currie fabricated and installed over 100 award-winning exhibits, refurbished traveling exhibits for distribution to local museums and libraries, and assisted with special events and programs.

Currie also worked in the MDAH Administration Division mailroom and became known throughout the State Capitol for his welcoming manner, dedication, and rapport with legislators and staff.

Resolution directs presentation of the commendation to Milford Currie, forwarding to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, and distribution to the Capitol Press Corps.
