Amends Mississippi Code Section 63-3-519 to authorize sheriffs and deputy sheriffs to use radar speed detection devices on county roads, streets, and highways outside municipal corporate limits.

Requires county board of supervisors approval through formal order entered in minutes before sheriffs may use radar speed detection equipment.

Adds new subsection (1)(d) permitting sheriff radar use on county jurisdiction roads outside municipalities, and new subsection (2) establishing board of supervisors discretionary approval process.

Changes Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol language from "will not" to "shall not" set up radar on highways in municipalities with populations exceeding 15,000 according to latest federal decennial census.

Effective date: July 1, 2019.
