Amends Section 41-29-179 of the Mississippi Code to authorize the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to dispose of unclaimed nonforfeited property using the same procedures as surplus property.

Establishes a 30-day retrieval period for property owners after a court orders property released (not subject to forfeiture), with property considered abandoned if not retrieved within that timeframe.

Requires the Bureau of Narcotics to sell abandoned property in accordance with state law governing surplus property disposition.

Directs that after deduction of sale expenses, remaining proceeds from abandoned property sales be forwarded to the State Treasurer as unclaimed property.

Effective date: July 1, 2019.
