Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-21-353 to require the Department of Child Protection Services to notify the applicable military installation family advocacy program when a parent or caregiver maintains active duty military status and there is an allegation of child abuse or neglect.

Department of Child Protection Services must make this military notification in addition to existing requirements to notify law enforcement, prosecutors, and youth court within specified timeframes.

Applies to cases where the department determines that a person responsible for the care or welfare of an abused or neglected child has active duty status within the military.

Effective date is July 1, 2019.
