Creates a Small Business Employee Benefit Task Force to review and evaluate providing insurance to employed individuals living below the federal poverty level in Mississippi.

Task force shall examine effects of such insurance on health care availability for uninsured workers and impacts on hospital uncompensated care costs.

Composed of 10 members including 2 House representatives, 2 senators, and 6 state officials/organization leaders (Medicaid, Health Department, Employment Security, University of Mississippi, Hospital Association, Medical Association).

Task force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature by December 1, 2019.

Nonlegislative members receive per diem compensation at rates set by Section 25-3-69 and reimbursement for travel expenses; takes effect July 1, 2019.
