Authorizes funeral establishments, crematories, and coroners to release veteran verification information (including death certificates, names, service numbers, and dates) to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or veterans' service organizations after possessing unclaimed cremated remains for at least one year.

Permits transfer of unclaimed cremated remains to veterans' cemeteries or veterans' service organizations for burial if the remains are verified to belong to an eligible veteran.

Provides civil immunity for persons who release verification information or transfer cremated remains in accordance with the act, and for veterans' service organizations that inter the remains.

Amends Section 73-11-69 to add crematory disposal options for unclaimed remains after 12 months, including release to veterans' service organizations in addition to existing scattering or burial methods.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
