Increases the maximum fine for officers under nonjudicial punishment from $75.00 to $225.00 when imposed by the Governor or an officer of general rank in command.

Increases the maximum fine for enlisted personnel under nonjudicial punishment from $10.00 to $175.00 when imposed by an officer of major rank or above.

Applies to disciplinary punishments for minor offenses under the Mississippi Code of Military Justice, administered by commanding officers and the Mississippi Military Academy Commandant.

Requires appeals of certain punishments including fines of $225.00 or more to be referred to a judge advocate of the state military forces for consideration and advice.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
