Modifies the election and appointment process for George County School District board members beginning with the 2019 statewide general election.

Requires the board of supervisors to apportion George County into three single-member board of education districts based on county population, with district lines published in a newspaper for three consecutive weeks.

Three board members shall be elected from the three single-member districts at the November 2019 general election and every four years thereafter.

Two remaining board members shall be appointed from the county at large: one by the board of supervisors and one by the local governing authority of the municipality where the county seat is located.

All elected and appointed board members shall serve four-year terms and take office on the first Monday of January following their election or appointment.
