MS HB1407

Amends Mississippi Code sections 63-1-35 and 45-35-3 to require the Commissioner of Public Safety to develop and implement electronic format options for driver's licenses, driving permits, and identification cards.

Allows license, permit, and card holders to display their credentials as electronic images on cellular phones or other electronic devices as an alternative to physical cards.

Applies to new, renewal, and duplicate driver's licenses, temporary driving permits, intermediate licenses, commercial driver's licenses, and identification cards.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
