Amends Mississippi Code Section 63-3-519 to remove the 2,000 population threshold that previously restricted municipal law enforcement officers from using radar speed detection equipment.

Municipal law enforcement officers may now use radar speed detection equipment on public streets within their municipalities regardless of population size.

College and university campus police forces may continue using radar on campuses with more than 2,000 enrolled students.

Municipal law enforcement in municipalities with populations exceeding 15,000 may use radar on federally designated highways within city limits, and the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol will not operate radar on those highways in such municipalities.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
