Amends Section 97-37-7 of the Mississippi Code to clarify the definition of "courtroom" for purposes of concealed carry restrictions in courthouses.

Defines "courtroom" to include the actual room where judicial proceedings occur, judge's chambers, jury rooms, witness rooms, and offices housing the judge's staff.

Specifies that "courtroom" does not include hallways, entrances, courthouse grounds, lobbies, corridors, parking lots, or other public areas within courthouse boundaries outside of active judicial proceedings.

Allows concealed pistol permit holders who complete firearms training or are military veterans/retired law enforcement to carry weapons in courthouses except in courtrooms during judicial proceedings.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
