MS HB1724

Authorizes the City of Gautier to acquire the approximately 88-acre Singing River Mall site through purchase, lease, or other means.

Empowers the city to negotiate and enter into agreements with developers to acquire, construct, develop, manage, operate, or own projects on the site, including retail stores, hotels, offices, medical facilities, and residential properties.

Allows the city to sell, lease, or dispose of the site for up to 75 years at less than fair market value if the city determines the development will create economic growth and community benefits.

Exempts any bonds issued to finance the project from counting toward the city's constitutional debt limitation under Section 21-33-303, Mississippi Code.

Takes effect upon passage.
