Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-3-19 to add killing of a utility worker to the definition of capital murder.

Defines "utility worker" as any person employed by, providing service on behalf of, or contracted by a public utility, including municipal, county, or state owned utilities and public agencies or utility districts.

Capital murder charge applies when a utility worker is killed while acting in their official capacity as a utility worker, provided the killer knew the victim was a utility worker.

Effective July 1, 2019.
