State Board of Education must develop and adopt a model dating violence policy by July 1, 2019, addressing definitions, zero-tolerance statements, safety planning, reporting procedures, staff training, and parent/student outreach.

School districts must adopt their own dating violence policies by October 1, 2019, aligned with the state model policy, and submit copies to the State Department of Education within 30 days.

School districts must distribute dating violence policies through personnel policies, discipline policies, and student codes of conduct to ensure notice to students and parents.

Districts must incorporate age-appropriate instruction on healthy relationships into kindergarten through grade 12 curriculum, with violence prevention topics required in comprehensive health or family and individual health courses needed for high school graduation.

Dating violence policy must be included as a required component in each school district's code of student conduct under Mississippi Code Section 37-11-55.
