Allows certified nurse practitioners with over 3,600 hours of clinical practice to practice without a written collaborative agreement with a physician if their previous collaborating physician relationship terminates due to the physician moving, retiring, or other reasons not caused by the nurse practitioner.

Requires the nurse practitioner to demonstrate good faith effort to find a new collaborating physician and obtain approval from the Mississippi Board of Nursing before practicing independently under this provision.

Permits these experienced nurse practitioners to collaborate with advanced practice registered nurses or other nurse practitioners instead of physicians, and exempts them from submitting patient charts to a physician for review.

Amends Section 73-15-20 to add exceptions for the collaboration and supervision requirements when conditions in Section 73-25-35 are met.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
