Amends sections 5-1-41, 5-1-43, 5-1-45, and 5-1-46 of the Mississippi Code to delay the effective date of salary increases or decreases for legislators and certain state officials.

Any increase or decrease in compensation for representatives, senators, and the lieutenant governor shall take effect on the first day of the next legislative term following the term in which the legislation is passed.

Any increase or decrease in salary for the speaker of the house of representatives, president pro tempore, and speaker pro tempore shall take effect on the first day of their next term of office following the legislative term in which the legislation is passed.

Prevents salary increases or decreases from taking effect during the current term of office for all affected legislators and officials.
