Amends Mississippi Code Section 45-9-171 to expand eligibility for the Mississippi Church Protection Act to include active law enforcement officers and qualified retired law enforcement officers as defined by 18 U.S.C. Section 926C(c).

Allows churches and places of worship to establish security programs where designated members may carry firearms to protect congregations and resist unlawful violent felonies on church premises.

Requires security program members to possess either a firearms permit and complete firearms safety training, be a law enforcement officer, or be a qualified retired law enforcement officer.

Provides civil liability immunity for security program members acting within the scope of their official duties as part of the church security program.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
