Creates the Municipal Crime Prevention Fund in the State Treasury to be administered by the Department of Public Safety to assist municipal crime prevention programs throughout the state.

Fund consists of monies deposited from expungement petition filing fees and any other public or private sources designated for the fund, with interest earnings retained in the fund rather than reverting to the General Fund.

Increases the filing fee for petitions to expunge an offense from $150.00 to $152.00, with the additional $2.00 deposited into the Municipal Crime Prevention Fund.

Monies in the fund, subject to legislative appropriation, may only be used to provide financial resource assistance to cities and counties implementing crime prevention programs within their communities.

Effective date is July 1, 2019.
