Creates the State Podiatric Forgivable Loan Program to enable eligible applicants to obtain a four-year education in podiatry at an accredited college of podiatric medicine to become licensed practitioners.

Board shall establish by rule the maximum annual award amount not exceeding tuition and other expenses, and the maximum number of awards based on degree completion timeframe.

Loan recipients may repay through 60 or fewer equal monthly installments of principal and interest, or through public service at state health institutions and federally-qualified community health centers.

Alternative repayment option allows recipients to practice podiatry in health professional shortage areas outside metropolitan statistical areas for five years to satisfy loan obligations.

Effective July 1, 2019.
