Schools rated "F" must operate for at least 180 days plus an additional 15 school days per scholastic year, beginning the school year following the "F" rating.

Schools rated "D" must operate for at least 180 days plus an additional 8 school days per scholastic year, beginning the school year following the "D" rating.

School boards must take necessary steps to operate "D" or "F" rated schools for the required number of additional days exceeding the standard scholastic year.

Amends the definition of "minimum school term" in Section 37-151-5 to reference the minimum number of days established under Section 37-13-63 rather than specifying 180 days.

Effective date: July 1, 2019.
