Repeals sections 71-11-1 and 71-11-3 of the Mississippi Code (Mississippi Employment Protection Act).

Amends section 27-3-4 to update terminology, replacing phrases like "heretofore" with "previously" and "which" with "that" throughout the Department of Revenue provisions and updates references to tax commission terminology across numerous state code sections.

Brings forward section 57-1-371, which makes businesses criminally convicted of intentionally hiring illegal immigrants ineligible for state loans, grants, or other assistance and requires repayment if assistance was already received.

Brings forward section 57-1-373, which prohibits businesses ever criminally convicted of intentionally hiring illegal immigrants from receiving state bond funds, loans, grants, or incentive payments for projects, and requires full repayment if assistance was already received.

Takes effect upon passage.
