Prohibits employers from terminating or discriminating against employees who leave work to evacuate under an official emergency evacuation order issued by the President, Governor, or political subdivision.

Requires employers who violate this prohibition to pay employees for lost wages and benefits and reinstate terminated employees to the same or equivalent position with commensurate pay.

Exempts emergency personnel (law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency management, public works) from this protection if the employer provides adequate emergency shelter for them.

Exempts employees necessary for public safety or restoration of vital services from evacuation protections.

Becomes effective July 1, 2019.
