Requires uninsured motorist coverage limits to automatically equal bodily injury liability coverage limits for policies issued after July 1, 2019, unless the insured specifically selects lower limits in writing.

Requires uninsured motorist property damage coverage limits to automatically equal property damage liability coverage limits for policies issued after July 1, 2019, unless the insured specifically selects lower limits in writing.

Allows insureds to select lower uninsured motorist coverage limits in writing, but not below the minimum limits required by Mississippi Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Law.

Once lower limits are selected in writing, those lower limits may continue on renewal policies by the same insurer unless the insured requests higher coverage in writing.

Requires insurers to inform named insureds or applicants of the benefits and reasons for purchasing uninsured motorist coverage on a form approved by the Department of Insurance.
