Amends Section 71-3-47 of the Mississippi Code to require the Workers' Compensation Commission to order an emergency hearing within 20 days upon request or petition by either party.

Adds new language specifying that the commission "shall order such hearing within twenty (20) days of the request or petition" for emergency hearings.

Maintains existing commission authority to determine all questions relating to payment of workers' compensation claims and to conduct investigations as deemed necessary.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
