Exempts any contract or undertaking by prime contractors, subcontractors, or sub-subcontractors for erection, building, construction, reconstruction, repair, maintenance, or related work for nonprofit corporations, associations, or churches from State Board of Public Contractors licensing requirements.

Applies the exemption to both private and public projects involving nonprofit entities.

Adds this exemption as subsection (k) to Section 31-3-1 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, joining existing exemptions for projects under $50,000, federal highway projects, residential projects, and certain other specialized work.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
