State Personnel Board shall increase annual compensation by $2,500 for state employees earning less than $50,000 annually, effective July 1, 2019.

Employees whose increased compensation would exceed their agency executive head's salary shall have their raise limited to match that executive head's compensation.

State Personnel Board must amend job classification end steps if necessary to allow all eligible employees to receive the full $2,500 raise.

Legislature shall appropriate funds necessary to implement the salary increases.

Section 25-3-40 of Mississippi Code of 1972 is reaffirmed, establishing the framework for annual salary adjustments based on legislative appropriations and federal minimum wage requirements.
