Commends the legislative career and public service of Representative David Baria from Hancock County upon his retirement from the Mississippi House of Representatives at the conclusion of the 2019 Regular Session.

Recognizes Baria's service in the Mississippi Senate starting in 2007 representing Senate District 46, followed by his transition to the House of Representatives in 2011 representing House District 122.

Highlights his roles as House Floor Leader (2012), founding Board Member of the Mississippi Democratic Trust (2016), House Minority Leader (2016), and member of Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential People.

Acknowledges his community involvement with organizations including the American Lung Association, Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities, American Federation of Teachers, Mississippi Association for Justice, and United Policyholders, including a recent Lifetime Achievement Award.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Representative Baria and the Capitol Press Corps.
