Requests the Joint Committee on the Library of Congress approve replacing Mississippi's statue of James Zachariah George with a statue of blues legend B.B. King in the U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall

Notes that B.B. King, born in Itta Bena, Mississippi, is a world-renowned blues musician who released over 50 albums, was inducted into the Blues Foundation and Rock and Roll halls of fame, and toured extensively throughout his career

Authorizes the Governor to create a commission of Mississippi artisans and artists to solicit private contributions for the creation and placement of the B.B. King statue

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Joint Committee on the Library of Congress, Mississippi's Congressional delegation, and the Capitol Press Corps
