Designates February 1, 2019, as "Family Medicine Appreciation Day" in Mississippi to honor the 70th anniversary of the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians state charter, originally granted on February 1, 1949.

Recognizes the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians as the largest medical specialty organization in the state with 1,238 members including active physicians, medical students, and family medicine residents.

Acknowledges the organization's mission to improve health access for all Mississippians by ensuring every citizen has access to a well-trained family physician for comprehensive health care management.

Honors family physicians for their dedicated medical care and contributions to the health and betterment of Mississippi communities.

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
