Commends the Scott Central High School Rebels Football Team and Head Coach Devin Cooper for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 2A State Football Championship, their first state title in 19 years.

Recognizes the team's 15-1 season record and 21-7 victory over defending champion Taylorsville Bulldogs in the championship game at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg.

Honors senior Hydee Barlow, named Most Valuable Player of the championship game, and the Rebels defense that held Taylorsville to 142 yards of total offense and 7 points.

Recognizes Head Coach Devin Cooper and assistant coaches David Hendershot, Tevin Nickols, Brent Foreman, Marlon Goss, and Paul Burtnett for coaching and inspiring the team.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Head Coach Cooper, assistant coaches, Scott Central High School Principal Steven Overstreet, and the Capitol Press Corps.
