Commemorates Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., on the occasion of its "2019 AKA Day at the Mississippi State Capitol" held February 7, 2019, recognizing the organization's commitment to civil rights, social justice, and voter empowerment.

Acknowledges Alpha Kappa Alpha as the first Greek-letter sorority for college-educated African-American women, founded in 1908 at Howard University, with over 300,000 members in more than 1,000 chapters across the United States and 55 nations.

Recognizes the South Eastern Region's 8,000 members in 107 chapters, including more than 30 chapters in Mississippi operating under the 2018-2022 initiative "Exemplifying Excellence through Sustainable Service."

Notes that six Alpha Kappa Alpha women serve in the Mississippi Legislature: Representatives Sonya Williams-Barnes, Alyce G. Clarke, Angela Cockerham, Debra H. Gibbs, and LaTaisha Jackson, and Senator Tammy Witherspoon.

Honors the organization's members for contributing over two million hours of community service advancing initiatives that foster better and equal quality of life for individuals in Mississippi.
