Recognizes and commends the Alcorn State University "Braves" football team for winning its 16th conference championship and the 2018 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Division title.

Notes the team became the first institution to host a SWAC Championship game and the first school to play in five consecutive SWAC title games, with 12 All-Conference honorees and 10 First-Team selections.

Highlights the team's achievement of finishing No. 2 in the HBCU Poll, receiving 127 votes in the FCS Top-25, having six HBCU All-Americans, and winning 10 SWAC Player of the Week awards.

Commends Head Coach Fred McNair for his coaching, inspiration, and skill development that contributed to the team's successful season and the legacy of superior play and sportsmanship.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to Head Coach Fred McNair and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
