Commemorates The Links, Incorporated on the observance of "Mississippi Links Day At the Capitol 2019" for their community service under the initiative "Transforming Communities - Fulfilling Our Purpose."

The Links, Incorporated is an international not-for-profit founded in 1946 with over 15,000 members in 288 chapters across 42 states, Washington D.C., the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom, with seven chapters in Mississippi.

The organization contributes more than one million documented hours of community service annually and is committed to enriching the culture and economic survival of African Americans and persons of African ancestry.

On February 20, 2019, more than 75 members attended the event at the Capitol to receive legislative updates, promote advocacy, and address criminal and social justice, political awareness, voter empowerment, and civic engagement.

State Representatives Debra Hendricks Gibbs and Lataisha Jackson, both members of The Links, Incorporated, represent the organization in the Mississippi Legislature.
