Commends the life and legacy of Mrs. Essie Mae Buckner, who passed away on November 24, 2018, at age 88.

Honors Mrs. Buckner's role as a devoted mother to ten children, stepmother to many others, and active member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Sunflower County.

Recognizes her Christian faith, service to her community, and support of her husband Reverend Allen Alexander Buckner, Sr. as he spread the gospel throughout the Mississippi Delta.

Expresses deepest sympathy to her surviving family members, including 8 children, 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Mrs. Buckner's family and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
