Commends and congratulates Dr. Jim Futral upon his retirement from the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board effective October 31, 2019, after 21 years of service as Executive Director-Treasurer.

Recognizes Dr. Futral's pastoral career beginning in 1964, including positions at nine churches across Mississippi and Texas before joining the Baptist Convention Board in September 1998.

Acknowledges Dr. Futral's religious milestones including salvation at age 9, call to preach at age 18, licensing in 1963, and ordination in 1964.

Notes Dr. Futral's numerous honors including Honorary Doctorates of Divinity from Blue Mountain College, William Carey University, and Mississippi College, plus other distinguished awards.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Dr. Jim Futral and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
