Recognizes and commends the Legends of the Automobile Industry, the first African Americans hired as car salesmen in Jackson, Mississippi during the 1970s.

Honors individuals including Harvey Dorsey (first salesman), Tom Allen (first general manager, 43 years), Winston Pittman (first owner, 45 years), Robert Williams (40+ years), and others with combined experience exceeding 350 years in the automobile industry.

Acknowledges the group's accomplishments including Lee Barnett as first bargain lot manager, Johnny Morrow as first African-American wholesaler in Mississippi, and others who remain active in automobile sales.

Notes that a documentary is being created to feature the stories and collective experience of these industry pioneers.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to the members of the Legends of the Automobile Industry and the Capitol Press Corps.
