Commemorates the life and legacy of Mrs. Alpha Rebecca Lockett George, who passed away on January 5, 2019, expressing deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Honors her 34-year career in public education, including 31 years with the West Tallahatchie School District after teaching at Turkey Creek Consolidated High School in Gulfport and Hunter High School in Drew.

Recognizes her service as a devoted Christian, wife, mother of four sons, and active community member involved with the West Tallahatchie Lions Club, Mississippi Association of Educators, and Habitat for Humanity.

Notes her survivors include four sons (Michael Lineal, Mark Anthony, Marvin Fitzgerald, and Melvin Fredrick), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, and other relatives and friends.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Mrs. George's family and the Capitol Press Corps.
