Commends the Clinton, Madison County, and Jackson chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Jackson Association and Development Enterprise, Inc. (JADE) for hosting Mississippi Delta Days at the Capitol on January 21-22, 2019.

Recognizes Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., as a 106-year-old national nonprofit organization with over 1,000 chapters worldwide, representing over 300,000 members nationwide.

Acknowledges the 2019 Delta Days focus on fully funded education, pay equity, and increased voter engagement, with nearly 150 participants expected to attend workshops on education and community support.

Highlights the participation of approximately 3,000 members from 34 chapters across Mississippi, including alumnae chapters and collegiate chapters from five universities.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mississippi chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
