Recognizes and honors We2gether Creating Change, a youth education program founded in 2009 by Gloria Dickerson in Drew, Mississippi.

Gloria Dickerson integrated Drew High School in 1965 as a civil rights activist and returned to her hometown to address deteriorating conditions in the school system.

We2gether Creating Change operates four year-long programs (Dollars for Your Thoughts, Pen or Pencil, Youth Early Success, and adult/community classes) teaching reading, public speaking, civic participation, and life skills.

Gloria Dickerson has personally invested over $500,000 in the program, with matching funds from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation providing an additional $150,000 when she donated $50,000.

House of Representatives commends Dickerson's efforts to help youth move from poverty to prosperity and pledges continued support for the organization's future endeavors.
