Commends Dr. Anthony Owens for receiving his Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University on June 15, 2018.

Recognizes Dr. Owens' academic progression from a bachelor's degree in music from Tougaloo College to a master's degree in counselor education from Southern University to his doctorate.

Acknowledges his 14 years of service at Bethune-Cookman University in various roles including director of New Student Orientation, student success coach, and adjunct instructor.

Notes his dissertation research titled "Factors Influencing Engagement in Co-Curricular Programs Among Males at a Historically Black Institution" which studied African-American male student engagement in leadership programs.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Dr. Owens and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
