Commends and congratulates American Legion Perry A. Johns Post #6 in Corinth, Mississippi upon its centennial anniversary celebration scheduled for March 15, 2019.

Recognizes the American Legion's 100-year history since its federal charter on September 16, 1919, and its role in establishing the U.S. Flag Code, founding the Veterans Administration, and passing the GI Bill of 1944.

Acknowledges Perry A. Johns Post #6 as one of the earliest Legion posts, having submitted its charter before the first National Convention, making it as established as the National Legion itself.

Honors the post's mission to support veterans and active-duty military families, foster patriotism and citizenship, award scholarships, and promote education and leadership opportunities in the Corinth community.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Perry A. Johns Post #6 and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
