Recognizes and commends Mr. Larry B. Mitchell for over 34 years of dedicated service as Superintendent of Education for the Alcorn School District upon his retirement.

Acknowledges Mitchell's career accomplishments including implementing pre-K classes, acquiring 20 new school buses, and constructing 10 new classrooms across district schools.

Highlights the Alcorn School District's achievement of B-rating status with three A-rated schools and ranking 34th out of 149 school districts statewide under his leadership.

Notes Mitchell's prior service as principal of Kossuth High School where he made academic and facility improvements, including establishing the gifted program and implementing a seven-period school day.
