Amends Section 43-21-105 of Mississippi Code to explicitly include Munchausen by proxy in the definition of "abused child" as a form of maltreatment.

Amends Section 43-47-5 of Mississippi Code to explicitly include Munchausen by proxy in the definition of "abuse" of vulnerable persons under the state's elder and dependent adult protection laws.

Clarifies that Munchausen by proxy constitutes child abuse when committed against a child and abuse of a vulnerable person when committed against elderly or dependent adults.

Effective July 1, 2019.
