Requires high school graduates and GED applicants to correctly answer at least 60 of 100 questions on a test identical to the civics portion of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Naturalization Test, beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.

Local school boards determine the method and manner of administering the civics test.

Students who fail the civics test may retake it multiple times until achieving a passing score.

Students who passed a similar test within the previous three years are exempt from this requirement.

Test requirements are subject to accommodations outlined in a student's Individualized Education Program.
