School districts must accept applications for enrollment and course registration by electronic means for pupils whose parent is transferred or pending transfer to a military installation in Mississippi while on active military duty pursuant to official military order.

Pupils meeting military transfer requirements comply with residency requirements for school attendance, including enrollment in specific schools or programs within the district.

Parents must provide proof of residence within ten (10) days after the published arrival date on official documentation, using addresses of temporary on-base billeting, purchased or leased homes, or federal/military housing.

"Active military duty" includes full-time service in United States uniformed services and members of the National Guard and State Military Reserve on active duty orders.
